My research interests lie in the development of robust statistical methods for uncovering the genetic basis of complex traits (humans/plants/animals) as well as the genetic basis of human diseases. Additionally, I am also interested in the statistical and computational challenges posed by the data of the aforementioned studies, which are not just Big Data but also DIFFERENT! Quoting Ronald L. Wasserstein (ASA executive Director), "It is an opportunity for statisticians to re-evaluate their assumptions and bring new ideas to the forefront."
